Summer Class Offerings

Music Theory and Sight Singing I

​Are your weak music-reading skills holding you back? Come and learn the basic building blocks of sight- reading vocal music. Through the use of solfege and music theory, this class teaches you how to read the music you'd like to sing. This class is a week-long intensive of our Saturday morning Music Theory courses offered during the year.

​$150 per student. Pre-registration required. Class will be cancelled if minimum enrollment not met.

Music Theory and Sight Singing II

A continuation of Music Theory and Sight Singing I; an intermediate course for music-reading skills and music theory. This class is an intensive of our Saturday morning Music Theory courses offered during the year.

​$150 per student. Pre-registration required. Class will be cancelled if minimum enrollment not met.

Group Voice Class

If you are looking to see what voice lessons are like, or are just interested in improving your voice, this class is for you!

This group voice class is for ages 8+, and will be taught by our newest addition to the vocal staff, Tricia Logsdon. 

The cost of this class is $60 per student.

Advanced Summer Voice Intensive

Two Weeks:  July 13 - 24, 2020

WHAT: A two-week, pre-auditioned class for advanced singers. This class is based on training like they did in the old days.
Daily classes include:
  • A Classical and Musical Theatre Track - your choice - NEW THIS YEAR!
  • Individual lessons and coachings
  • Acting
  • Diction
  • Master classes
  • Movement
  • Musicianship
  • Staged scene work - NEW THIS YEAR!
  • Stage Makeup - NEW THIS YEAR! 

WHEN: Two Weeks: July 13 - 24, 2020;  Monday - Friday, 9:30 am - 2:30 pm, MAC Recital Hall  
     WHAT'S NEW: A later start time and longer session to give you more!  Pack a lunch!

Want these results for yourself?  Here's what to do:
Auditions:  Please submit your audition pieces via Youtube to kathycammett@gmail.com.  Please slate at the top of the recording and capture at least from your upper body and above.  Use online accompaniments or, if none can be found, sing a cappella.  Be sure to set your youtubes to unlisted or public and not private or we will not be able to access them.  Everything is due by midnight, March 29.  Please note that students who have graduated from High School are eligible to submit.  Thank you!

$1250 per student. Scholarships based on financial need are available.

**Only four people per voice teacher will be chosen.

Our regular lessons are still in full swing over the summer! 

Worried about missing lessons due to vacation and summer camp schedules? Don't worry! We are happy to work with you to schedule around your conflicts so you don't miss out. It is so important to keep up with your lessons so you continue to improve. Contact the office today to make arrangements for your summer schedule!

Don't forget - we require a 30 day notice prior to termination or leave of absence, so be sure to submit any requests directly to the office.
