Soprano Marilyn Zelcer, on the MAC voice faculty since 1997, earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. She also was certified in all three levels of instruction at the Contemporary Commercial Music Vocal Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. Her students have performed with Playhouse in the Park, Cincinnati Children’s Theatre, and in national tours as well as leading roles in many other theater companies and schools.

Equally at home with classical and musical theater repertoire, Ms. Zelcer has performed with the Cincinnati Opera, Lebanon Symphony Orchestra, Vocal Arts Ensemble, and Byzantine Singers as well as Kincaid Regional Theater, Downtown Theater Classics, Showboat Majestic, and multiple community theaters.

She specializes in musical theater; classical repertoire including opera, oratorio, and concert music; Jewish sacred and folk music; and sacred church music.
