Xan Waddell Jeffery

 

Voice Teacher

 

Xan Waddell Jeffery, soprano, has been teaching in the Cincinnati area for over fifteen years.  She holds Master of Music and Bachelor of Music degrees in Voice Performance, both from the College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) at the University of Cincinnati.  While a student at CCM, she won numerous scholarships, including the Baur Vocal Scholarship, the Werner Vocal Scholarship, Sigma Alpha Iota, and the CCM Graduate Scholarship.

 

Mrs. Jeffery has performed with the Vocal Arts Ensemble, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Indianapolis Symphony, and the Nashville Symphony.  She is currently a member of the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra Chorale and sings with the Worship Arts team at Parkside Christian Church.  She was the Soprano Soloist and Director of Children’s Music at Armstrong Chapel United Methodist Church for thirteen years, under the direction of Dr. Elmer Thomas and Ben Basone. 

 

Mrs. Jeffery has taught Early Childhood music and middle school choirs for the Forest Hills School District for the last seven years.  She is licensed in all levels of Kindermusik.  She has sung literally hundreds of weddings in the Cincinnati area in the last twenty years! 

 

Currently, Mrs. Jeffery conducts the McNicholas High School Concert Choir and teaches private voice lessons at the Musical Arts Center.  She is an active member of the Ohio Music Educators Association, Sigma Alpha Iota, and the CCM Alumni Board of Governors.

 

Mrs. Jeffery lives in Anderson Township with her husband, Mike, and four teenage children.  She enjoys volunteering lots of her time with her childrens’ athletic and musical groups.
