Tim Carpenter, Tenor, has earned a BA in Music Education from Berea College and a MM in
Choral Conducting from the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music. He has
taught vocal music in Southwestern Ohio since 1987. His students have had continuing success
in music, from receiving Superior ratings in Solo/Ensemble Contests and winning the
scholarship competitions to studying music at the college level and becoming music
educators themselves. Also an instrumentalist, Tim plays trombone, guitar, banjo, and dulcimer,
to name a few. Tim has sung many roles in the musical theatre repertoire, including Joseph
in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and Jesus in “Godspell”, and has conducted
the pit orchestra for such shows as “The Wizard of Oz” and “South Pacific”. He is also currently
the Director of Music at the Milford First United Methodist Church.
