Young Artist’s Preparatory Program (YAPP)
The Young Artist’s Preparatory Program is Cincinnati’s premiere youth apprentice program designed
for exceptional vocal performers between 15 and 18 years of age (high school sophomore, juniors and
seniors) and taught exclusively through the Musical Arts Center. The nine month program is designed
to develop and enhance the individual young vocal performer through improvisation, mock auditions,
movement, musical preparation and dramatic interpretation in a small ensemble setting. Auditions are
usually held in late summer. The program begins in October and concludes with an annual Showcase in
June. Please call the MAC office for more information.
The Musical Arts Center proudly presents YAPP Showcase! One of few high school opera
workshops in the United States., YAPP is under the Direction of our own Lincoln
Chapman. This presentation is the conclusion of our nine-month YAPP program. Our
talented students will entertain you with scenes from Opera.
