This two week intensive will focus on honing the talents and skills necessary for
musical theatre professionals. Singing, dancing, and acting of course, but also
discipline, respect, and hard work - skills that, in the end, really sort the wheat
from the chaff. Our hours together will be split between dance, vocal work (both
musical and dramatic), and character development and presentation. The two week
workshop will drive toward a showcase performance, exhibiting the week's accomplishments.
One of the major goals of this project is to teach these students how to operate
with understanding and success in this business - through demonstration. While we
teach with positivity, energy, and enthusiasm, we will strongly encourage focus
and keep a keen eye on the students' advancement. Much will be expected of the participants
and in return, much will be given.
Graduating Seniors
A preparatory Workshop for "what comes next", this is the perfect opportunity to further solidify your talents before heading off to your respective universities. For those pursuing the performing arts, the next four years will constantly be demanding proof - proof of your talent, proof of your capability, and proof that you can work with others (both on stage and off). This workshop will offer an invaluable skill set, making the proving all that much easier. Your work is not done - your university or college will not magically insure your place in this industry - only your own work ethic can do that. For those of you who's passions have taken you elsewhere, these are not lessons that only apply to theatre - life is easier when these values are practiced and ingrained! Plus, if you've come this far, chances are you'll never stop performing! We believe strongly in the benefits of this workshop, as we believe strongly in each and every one of you. Let's leave your high school years behind with a bang!

A Message from Vince Lee, Artistic Director and Music Director
"We're looking to build the most intensive and rewarding preparatory Musical Theatre
workshop available anywhere in the country. Too often, the most talented and dedicated
young performers have difficulty finding venues that challenge them and push them
to greater heights. Our workshop is unique in that it will combine the essential
(and often ignored) fundamentals of focus and discipline with the highest artistic
standards. I am thrilled to be collaborating with the amazing faculty of the Musical
Arts Center, and am looking forward to giving our workshop students the experience
of a lifetime."
