Soprano Linda McAlister is equally at home singing opera, oratorio, and art song. Lauded for her stage presence and ability to connect with her audiences, she has impressed German audiences and critics in roles such as Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus, Venus in Dardanus, and Belinda in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas as well as in concert engagements of works by Mendelssohn, Haydn, Faure, and Mozart, and others.

Ms. McAlister’s engagements have also taken her to Opera Festival di Lucca (Italy); Dayton Opera, Lake George Opera On-the-Go, Brevard Music Festival, and Ravinia Festival (USA); and the Britten-Pears Festival (England). She has won several recognitions, including Metropolitan Opera Auditions (1st prize, Minnesota district), Opera Columbus Competition (3rd prize), and the Frank Huntington Beebe Grant for musicians.

She received her Masters Degree in Music from Miami University and continued her post-graduate work at the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati.
