Now returning as guest instructor, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra’s Assistant Conductor Vince Lee began his career with piano lessons at the Musical Arts Center. Under the tutelage of Erich Kunzel, Mr. Lee made his professional conducting debut at age 13 as guest conductor of the Cincinnati Pops, appearing seven times over six years.

Working on his Masters Degree in conducting at Indiana University, he quickly became the most active and sought-after student conductor at the largest music school in the country. In his 4 years there as Masters recipient and Doctoral Candidate, Mr. Lee championed new music, premiering over 50 new works, and conducting 17 orchestral concerts. He continued his studies with Maestro James DePreist at Julliard where as a faculty member, Mr. Lee conducted the MAP orchestra and served as principal pianist for Julliard orchestras.

In 2008, he made both his Carnegie Hall and European conducting debuts, and conducted world premieres in New York and L
