On the voice faculty at MAC since 1997, Lincoln Chapman is also a founding director of the Young Artist Preparatory Program at MAC, one of the very few opera programs in the nation for outstanding high school singers (now in its 12th season). He also teaches voice at the School for Creative and Performing Arts and has been an instructor for Miami University’s Ohio High School Choral Workshop.

Mr. Chapman holds a Bachelor of Science in Music from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Music from University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music, where he studied voice with Andrew White and opera with Italo Tajo and Malcolm Fraser.

He made his professional debut with the Cincinnati Opera in Schwanda the Bagpiper, and has performed with Opera Columbus, Syracuse Opera, The Spoleto Festival, Florida Arts Celebration, the Melbourne-Spoleto Festival and Her Majesty’s Theater (Australia), Charlestown Symphony, and the Cincinnati Symphony, among others.
