Voice Teacher

Soprano Meng-Chun Lin, a native of Taiwan, is currently a Doctor of Musical Arts student at the College-Conservatory of Music in University of Cincinnati. She studies voice with Barbara Honn and coaches with Kenneth Griffiths. While her repertoire includes music from all historical periods, her specialty is in vocal chamber and contemporary music.

Ms. Lin received her Masters of Fine Arts from Taipei National University of the Arts in Vocal Performance in 2001, and her Bachelor of the Fine Arts from National Taiwan Normal University in Vocal Performance in 1996.  She was under the tutelage of Sai-Yun Liu from 1989 until 2001 in Taiwan. Ms. Lin was chosen to represent CCM in Barbara Cook’s Master-Class at Zankel Hall in January 2007. This appearance in Carnegie Hall’s newest auditorium was part of the Marilyn Horne Foundation Master-Class Series. In 2006, she was invited to sing the role of Jing in a new opera-musical production of Norwegian composer Thomas Stanghelle’s Some Sunny Night, which included the U.S. premiere in Ohio and the European premieres in Brussels.
